ELDER LANDGREN: eu ti busco Deus. nova transferencia. Dues nos guiara

So well I guess here is the skinny for this week.

I am now with Elder Jesus he is from Portugal and is 100% fluent in both Portuguese and English. He is a really cool guy I’m so excited to work with him. I’m in the same area and my good friend Elder King is going to Portuguese north with Elder Frame. I’m really going to miss that kid even though we will see each other still like every day. We went through a lot of really hard times together. I’m really excited to work with Elder De Jesus because he is fluent and I haven’t worked with a fluent speaker ever so I’m so excited. Finally I can learn how to truly speak Portuguese. True I won’t be as fluent as someone who went to Brazil but I can say the way I learned Portuguese was much harder and much more meaningful to me.

I guess I will talk about why I am in Toronto, Canada. I really don’t think I will know until I leave. However, this past week I learned that God will just simply guide you every day. I don’t know why I was called here yet. Why I have to convince people to come to a church and be baptized in a church that doesn’t speak their language. The thing is I have done it and I have done it allot.  I have had so many people come to church and I have taught so many people and it is something I thought I would never be able to do. It is all because God is guiding me. He truly is using me as a tool to prepare the hearts of this people. The majority of the people I teach go back to Brazil, but they go back with just a little taste of the gospel so when missionaries down there meet them they already have that seed planted from that weird 19 soon to be 20 year old boy that tried to speak Portuguese to them. God guides every one of us and I think for my mission he is using me as a guide to show people where to go. No I don’t take them there but I show them the path. God will always have people to help us know what path we need to take even if we don’t understand it completely he will show us just like Nephi when he went back to get the plates it says. “I went before hand not knowing what to do” even if we don’t understand something just keep going if you know it is from God.

So some great things and bad things that have happened here.  We have 3 really solid people Marli, Manuel, and Gabriel.  They all want to be baptized and have come to church about 8 times. We have taught them everything. Now they just need to make the decision to jump into the water. The bad news – Marli just went to the hospital and will be there for a little while but we will go visit her so it should be okay. Manuel is up in Berry which is about 4 hours away and we have no idea when he will come back but he calls us every night to talk about church because he really does want to be baptized. And Gabriel hopefully in two weeks he will be baptized.

Well friends family and other weird people that I miss, always realize as long as we try to be righteous God will guide us. True, we have to make the decision but as we try our best he will take us and make us what we are supposed to become.
