Sister Chamberlain: Subject: Bonjourno!!!!

Hello hello :) so my week has been pretty fantastic!!! I hope you all have had a great week!

So my trainee is from Star Valley, Wyoming! She is so sweet. She danced and cheered in high school as well and danced at university with one of my friends from dance company! Yay I love mutual friends! Her name is Sister Barnes and she is my first comp that is my age! Well she is a year older but same grade as me. She is like Katie Thompson and I age difference. Her birthday is Sept. 18th! She is so fearless! Talking to people on the street and door no problem. I remember the first week or more like three weeks of knocking, I would just be silent and make Sister McLeod talk cause I really, really disliked it. But Sister Barnes is just awesome! She is real shy which sounds kind of contradictory with what I just said but I guess she is just shy around me or maybe she just thinks I am crazy. Probably the latter.

The poor thing has been putting up with my cooking for the past little while and living with the random things of food we had left at the end of transfers. I don’t even know what I made last night but we covered it in ketchup and it was just fine haha! She has a lot of delicious American treats in her suitcase though so that is real nice! The Preston MTC was closed for cleaning or something so she went to the Provo MTC. So when I picked her up she was just fresh off the airplane. The poor thing was so tired. I have no idea how she was functioning. I was a mess that first day off the airplane I felt like I was underwater or something, I was so tired. I remember crying because I couldn’t find my bedding and I was just so tired I wanted to go to bed. She was such a sport though. She went out and street contacted with me all day and then when we came in for dinner I asked her if she was okay if I could do anything and she just said I need to put my head down and was out like a light. It was the first time she has been out of the country, on an airplane, and seen the ocean! We went and got her a bunch of seashells during dinner one day!! She is just real funny and I am so excited to serve with her!

We have been knocking and street contacting loads. We got this list of names from the area of seventy of less actives to visit so we have gone and visited those people and knocked around those areas. Not too much success yet but it will come!! This one lady was trying to explain to us how Obama is putting people in prison camps and that is why we were here to flee imprisonment… it was a bit strange. It was Stake Conference this last weekend and it was so awesome! They talked loads about reaching out to less actives and working with less actives. It made me feel real good because that is what I have been feeling real good about so I am happy that we are all listening to the same spirit and it isn’t just me being a mad person!

Well I love you all and I hope you have a great week!!

Love, Sister Chamberlain
