Elder Cowan: Some Bad News and Great News

Hey everybody! How is everything doing?

Well I have some bad news. I’m getting transferred. Usually, it would be exciting because it means going to a new area and meeting new people. But the problem is I love the area that I’m in and I love the people too much! We have such a great Ward here and it makes being a missionary so much fun. We found out Saturday night that I was leaving so yesterday at church was pretty sad. I had to say goodbye to a lot of people. And then afterwords we saw a lot more people took a ton of pictures. Now, after our day is over, we get to go out and do that again one more time.

I don’t find out where I’m going until tomorrow. So I guess I’ll have the big reveal next week! Pray for somewhere fun though. So the rest of our week went pretty well. I was over in Longwood for Tuesday and part of Wednesday. I was with one of my good friends Elder Lauritzen. We had an absolute blast! It’s so much fun to hang out and do work as missionaries with him. Then on Wednesday we exchange back and me and Elder Penfold went back to work. We had a lot to do and a lot going on. We ended up teaching quite a few appointments and finding some cool people as well. While I was over in Longwood, Elder Penfold taught one of our investigators who is preparing to be baptized. Apparently, they had a great lesson with her and she is even more ready for February 21. We are excited for that even though I’m not going to be here.

We’re going to go have dinner with her tonight so that makes it a lot better than just leaving without saying goodbye. So I guess I’m looking forward to see where I’m going. I have a couple of guesses but I don’t want to jinx it! I guess I’ll let you all know next week. But, until then, I hope you all have a great week!
