Sister Chamberlain: Merry Christmas!

1. I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

2. I thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along th’unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

3. And in despair I bowed my head:
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men."

4. Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men."

5. Till, ringing, singing, on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,
Of peace on earth, good will to men!

There you go a nice Christmas hymn for ya this week. I just really love this hymn. The lyrics are so beautiful.

This week is going to be chalk full of miracles! Last week was amazing as well. RICHARD WAS BAPTISED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I honestly have no idea where he came from but he was so golden. You have to have stopped smoking for at least a week before your baptism and he hadn’t been smoking for almost two weeks and he was so ready and excited. I really just don’t understand it. Well I do because Heavenly Father is the master of miracles and I know it was all Him because we literally just showed up to teach but it is just interesting how His timing is. I hadn’t been able to see anyone that I had taught baptized in a year and then I come here and Lucia is baptized and then Richard and this next week Aaliyah and Rocky are getting baptized! It is just incredible and I am so grateful to be able to be a part of this marvelous work. I seriously am just so happy right now. Aaliyah is 11 and her mother has been trying to come back to church and now Aaliyah wants to be baptized on Christmas Eve (I think I might have already told you that) and Rocky is a members mother who is from Colombia. She has lived her for 30 years or more but her English still is shaky so we teach her a bit of English before our lesson and then in our lessons we use a bit of Spanish. She is so amazing and her sister came to church yesterday (she was visiting from her ward) and she kept telling us that we were miracle workers because she never thought her sister would accept the gospel. Sister Green and I just thought to ourselves well it wasn’t us. God is the miracle worker. We just have to be able to have the Spirit with us and be willing enough to follow the Spirit and not get in the way of what His plan is and He will work glorious miracles like Rocky.

On another happy note we are getting the heating fixed in our flat as we speak! So that will be nice :) I set up pretty Christmas decorations (well depends on your definition of pretty). And most of your candy decorations you made have been eaten haha :) sorry this is so scattered and full of mistakes (as always) Sister Green just has her whole last p-day planned out so we have to be quick!

LOVE YOU ALL!!!!! HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) ;)

Love, Sister Chamberlain
