SISTER ZACKRISON: No time no time!

Hey y’all!

I have no time today to write, so the email will be short.

This week I have learned so much about family, and how important they are. Here in my area, we have so many broken families. Or problems within the family. It seems that parents believe divorce is the first option, and it is the normal thing to do. One of our recent converts, Jordan, has a struggle within his family. His mom isn’t a very motivated mom, and she gets things by cheating, and lying. And now it is beginning to rub off onto her kids. They aren’t motivated either, and they don’t know what life could be like. It breaks my heart to try and help Jordan because I don’t want him to fall back into the same life his mother lives. So many people we talk to have issues with the family. It has showed me so much that we NEED to share the message of eternal families. The people here NEED hope. They NEED to know that there is a better way. We were helping at a funeral in the ward on Tuesday morning, and it made me so grateful for the message we have, and the knowledge we have that death is not really the end.

The other thing I have learned this week is that Satan is working hard. He is working hard against us, and against the people in this area. We have another recent convert, his name is Gavin. His mom is not a member, and we met with her for the first time this week. It went amazing. She felt the spirit, she was saying how much she wanted to learn about the church, and she was so proud of her son for making these wonderful changes in his life. She was so excited to come to church with us. But then, Satan had to add his two cents and she got caught up in the doubt. She bailed on coming to church, and told us how she wasn’t ready yet to learn about the church. We have no idea what happened. But I was thinking about it, and I came to the conclusion that something great is about to happen in this area. Why else would Satan be working so hard against us? He knows that we are about to bring the light to someone, and so things have been a bit slow. Satan is good at putting doubt into the hearts of people here. But as we learned, doubt can be good. My quote of the week actually is about that. My mission president said that to us in our zone conference training this week. “Without doubt, there can be no faith.”

Let’s let our faith build us this week. Doubts can turn into strengths.

I love y’all! Remind me next week I have a really good quote to share. Have a good week!
