Elder Crocker: Elder Rayos, New Ward Mission Leader
We had a new arrival this week: Elder Rayos. He’s a recently returned missionary from the Cebu East Mission. He came in on Wednesday, but his release was scheduled for a different day, giving us the opportunity to work with him a few times. I can tell that he was a very good missionary. He really knows how to use the Book of Mormon to answer questions.
Elder Rayos, Ward Mission Leader
On Sunday, Elder Rayos still hadn’t had a chance to be released yet, but he was sustained as the new Ward Mission Leader in the Dasma 1st ward. We’ll have a lot more opportunities to work with him, so I’m pretty excited. I think Elder Rayos will do great.
Sister Julie, A Proper New Home
This week we also had the opportunity to start a service project for an investigator in our area, Sister Julie. She’s had some trials recently, and is more or less living in a tent. With the suggestion and organization of the ward members, we were able to wrangle some supplies to help her build a more proper home. Last week we were only able to find the materials, this week we’ll actually finish the house.
It was a good week, things are happening.
Until next week,
Elder Crocker

A Few Questions and Answers:
Q: Have you read your Patriarchal Blessing many times on your mission?
A: I keep making copies of it and marking it different every time. I’ve really become converted to the idea of not relying on previous revelations and inspirations and always looking for something new. I do that with the Book of Mormon, too.
Q: How long have you been in your new area now?
A: I’ve been in this area for about 10 weeks.
Q: Any investigators progressing toward a commitment?
A: We have two investigators who will be baptized on 19 April.
Q: What do you think of the “Cavite Mission” table setting Mom did for Relief Society?
A: Man, that’s a really old picture of me. I don’t look like that anymore… The table setting is pretty accurate though. I’ll show all of you how to cut pineapple and mango when I get home. At home, we’ve been doing it wrong.
