ELDER COWAN: The Week

How’s it going today everyone! We are doing well here in good ole Lake Mary. I guess you all need the news that me an Elder Cortez are staying. We got some pretty interesting new people here in the district which makes it super fun! We had a sister from Japan come into the district and also one guy who has a Scholarship to the University of Utah! It’s a pretty fun bunch and it will be fun to get to know them.  Other than that this week is been pretty interesting.

Monday was fun it was a lot of goodbyes to say to people. But I know that they are all doing alright in their new areas.

Tuesday I got a flat on my tire and we had no extra tubes so we were stuck in all day. I patched it up and we tried to go back to work but five minutes into the bike ride we blew another hole. The tube was 14 months old so it just was it’s time.

Wednesday we are able to get back to work and did some good things there!  We found an investigator who had been meeting with the missionaries a long time ago and really started working with him. Then that night we got some sad news and we are just trying to stay on top of that. Elder Cortes got some personal info from home which took us out the next couple of days. Really sad so just pray for the guy.

Friday we got back to work which is good. We had dinner with the super awesome family name the Busch family. Then we were able to find out what is going on with our ward. I guess I neglected to mention the backstory but they are creating a whole new stake out of ours and the Orlando South stake. A stake is a collection of wards and a ward is a single congregation.  So they had enough wards to create a new stake.

On Saturday and Sunday we found out the new boundaries and we found out that we lost a good chunk of our area. We lost one of my favorite members which is kind of a bummer but in return we picked up a large portion in Maitland. We got to know a lot of the members yesterday by visiting them which was cool because they are excited to be in the new ward and to meet new people.  And that things are going really well for us you’re continuing to find and to work hard and all that we do and say. Have a great week everyone know that I love you all!
