Sister Chamberlain: Howdy Hey!!!

Quote of the week:

A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture everyday of his life in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul.
-Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

So this last week has been fab! We had exchanges with the Aldershot sisters and it was way fun. I went there with Sister Vande Merwe who is my granddaughter because Sister Steffensen trained her. Regardless of her last name she is from Idaho. We were both SOOO sick. I am finally getting over my cold but she is still suffering the poor thing :( The Aldershot sisters live with a member and they call her Granny Annie. She has been housing missionaries for over 10 years and she is just the sweetest thing!

We had three people come to church this Sunday and had five members come on teaches with us! It was incredible! One of the investigators Sister Sargsyan and Sister Yoshimura found on exchanges and we had to pass him over to the elders. I don’t really know what their thoughts were on him but he was so super creepy with Sister Sargsyan. Everyone is haha she is a gorgeous Armenian model! So I got a ukulele to try and make people more interested in talking with us by its melodic tunes. Sister Vande Merwe showed me how to play it and it is going well! My fingers are sore and I am having the darndest time trying to tune it so we will hold off taking it to the public for a bit. Sister Vande Merwe and Sister Steffensen played their ukuleles and found great success haha so we will see… If not I have a cool ukulele (blue) that I can play hymns on! Oh and the man and his wife that sold me the ukulele invited us to their church this last Sunday we said we would go if they come to ours. We doubt they will come to ours because they were really mean to us but we went to theirs and we felt so uncomfortable because they were being so passive aggressive about us saying things like wow can you believe it actual Mormons coming to a real Christian setting. Wait you actually read the bible? What is in your bible? Can we heal you of the evil that is inside you? Like what the heck? It was at the YMCA and there were 7 people and we sat in like a little pow wow thing.

The sisters in our zone are being so blessed! Staines was able to see a baptism a few weeks ago, Kingston is this Saturday, and Aldershot is this Saturday as well!! Now it is our turn hopefully soon ish maybe next month!! :) No for sure next month where is my faith?! :)

Sister Sargsyan has been having back issues. She thought she could lift this HUGE weight at our Ward mission leaders home that the elders couldn’t even lift and we think she threw her back out. We get to keep going to the hospital for them to give her exercises and such which I don’t mind too much because I get free hot cocoa while I am waiting :) They might have her do this water therapy to help which she isn’t sure she wants to do. I said hey it’s an excuse to be allowed to swim I think my back hurts too! I didn’t pass out while getting my bloods done which was solid :) Today for p-day we are going to Aldershot to play tennis so that will be nice. We have exchanges with the Kingston sisters this week yay! Nothing else super exciting to report on.

Love you all!!

Love, Sister Chamberlain
