ELDER OLDROYD: 13 Month!!!

It’s such a great thing to hear that y’all stayin super super busy! You need to take advantage of this summer. Make every summer a great summer. How’s the weather down there? I heard about the flood in Rexburg?! Holy crap! That’s crazy! I couldn’t believe that happened there. I could imagine it being out here in Ohio (because when it rains, it pours) I’m sure you guys needed the rain though. It’s been really humid lately. You walk outside and you can see the humidity. It looks misty outside haha. It’s crazy!! The heat on top of that is just terrible. It feels in a sense sticky outside and you can never leave the heat. It’s hard to explain, but the humidity is a butt kicker. Yesterday was about 80% humidity and about 85 Degrees!

Terry came to church again this week!! He felt the Spirit strongly again, he loves everyone that is in our Ward. You can tell that one day he will become a member. It’s such a great feeling! He knows he needs to keep coming to church. His wife, Tina, will most likely be coming this upcoming Sunday! That would be pretty amazing! Terry came to all three hours of church and loved every part about it. We were talking in Gospel Principals and a conversation started about missionary work and how grateful the teacher (Mike Bryant) was when the missionaries taught him. Terry leaned over to me and said, “I’m glad you guys came and knocked on my door.” He is super sincere about the things he says. He is super prepared. He would like to thank you guys for letting me come out here to teach/meet him. He told me to tell you guys that. So thank you haha. He also wanted to say to you guys that you raised me well, because I’m intelligent. He is such an amazing guy, it’s unreal! haha his phone went off during a sacrament talk, it wasn’t loud at all but he freaked out and hurried to turn it off. I could just feel him shrivel up. He felt sooo bad!! He apologized at the end. It’s just so cool, because he actually truly cares! This area is going up!! The members are hopefully getting fired up for missionary work by seeing an investigator coming to church. I would love to see them get baptized and come back out to see them get sealed in the Temple. I think that would be absolutely amazing! We talked about them being together forever, and that’s an obvious interest point for anybody! We will see though! Again, they are solid people.

It’s great to be able to remember when we got sealed as a family for eternity. The feeling that came with it, was unreal! It’s great to know that families really can be together forever. I have left my family, so that others can be together forever with theirs. It’s a miracle to help these people in Ohio. Ohio is my home!! It’s so great to see how attached you really do get.  In this Ward I feel like I am at home! I love every single person. I know every single person (which I wasn’t able to do that at our home Ward). It’s amazing to be able to understand and know the knowledge that I have received in the past 13 months. I love you guys and hope all is well with everything.
