Elder Cowan: Sunrise and Success Knocking Doors

Howdy folks!

To begin, some members were telling us of a picture of the whole USA and it was cold and freezing. All the states except one, Florida. So from the bottom of my heart I enjoyed the warmth and hope you guys find some as well!

Anyway, this week has been pretty good. It was a little slow at the beginning. We had a ton of time to find and did about 11 hours of it this whole last week. It was what we are trying to do, find more people, but it is a less productive way. The way that missionary work is going is working with the wards but we are still trying to work that out so, looks like we’ll be knocking doors for a bit.

Today we got permission to do another beach p-day. We had to get there at 5 am and be out of there by 8am so we saw the sun rise and had a blast! It’s so neat to be so close to the beach. Since I said that, I’m probably going to be shipped off to the middle of Orlando for my next area. Ha ha!

Our weekend was particularly good. We taught the majority of our lessons on saturday and sunday which was nice because more people are home so we have a greater chance of running into new people to talk to and our current investigators.

I guess we did have some success when we knocked doors. We found two less active members who are looking to come back to church so that made it very worthwhile.

I hope you all are doing well in the cold and I send warm wishes and a warm picture to you guys for the holidays! Have a great one and I love you all so much!!!
